Electronic Engineer – Entec Solar

ABOUT THE POSITION

Our partner Entec Solar, specialized in monitoring and testing equipment, is looking for an electronic engineer with more than five years of experience. This role is crucial to the growth and success of our company, and requires solid knowledge of electronics, a thorough understanding of all products and services, as well as the ability to treat customers with an attitude focused on their satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of the company in the dynamic solar energy sector, working with a committed and passionate team.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Collaboration in both hardware and software design and development of new products.
• Contribution to the development of enhancements for existing products on both the hardware and software side.
• Management and supervision of the technical service of the company’s products, including the reception of incidents, customer service and equipment repair.
• Management and supervision of new equipment assembly, calibration and testing prior to shipment to the end customer.
• Management of material purchases, evaluating the different suppliers and material characteristics.

YOUR COMPETENCIES TO ENSURE SUCCESS IN YOUR ROLE

Technical skills:

• Understanding of electronic circuits, including their design and the use of design software.
• Programming skills (C, Python, Java Script, HTML).
• Skills in soldering, cable assembly, electrical assemblies, etc.

Interpersonal skills:

• Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with customers and provide them with optimal solutions.
• Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively with other colleagues in the department.
• Adaptability and flexibility to change: willingness to adapt to new or changing situations, react positively, and introduce new points of view when the situation requires it.
• Planning and organization: ability to assign the actions to follow, distributing the existing resources to achieve results.

ABOUT YOU

• Qualification: university degree in electronic engineering, telecommunication or related areas.
• Specialty: master’s degree in solar energy or similar.
• Languages: Spanish and English.
• Experience: 5 years of experience related to the position.

• Flexible working hours: Monday to Thursday 8.5 hours a day and Friday 6 hours. Possibility to start from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
• Vacations: 23 working days and December 24 and 31.
• Vacation schedule according to seniority, assigning 1 more day of vacation every two years.
• Intensive workday during the month of August.
• Possibility of receiving part of the salary according to the flexible compensation program (restaurant ticket, transportation and day care), which is not subject to income tax withholding.
• Teleworking: possibility of 1 day a week in remote work and one full week a year from the employee’s preferred location if the position allows it.

In addition, the selected person will be integrated in the same office space as the Qualifying PhotoVoltaics, S.L. team, a spin-off with 30 employees and a great working environment where you can learn from a team with great experience in photovoltaics. We are located in Street Caleruega 102, Madrid!

Entec Solar is a spin-off of the Solar Energy Institute, founded by three PhDs in solar photovoltaics from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in 2016 and headquartered in Madrid, Spain.
